Pin the top menu in the Episerver UI

The Episerver UI now has the ability to pin the menu at the top of the screen as a core feature. Its possible to do this by clicking the icon once the menu is opened as shown below:

This feature is available in Episerver UI v11.2 upwards. Thanks to Magnus Baneryd for helping get this into the core Episerver UI!

Note: This feature was previously available as a 3rd party add on for earlier versions of Episerver called MenuPin for Episerver.

Nice.

It's also possible to pin the page tree. My question is... is it possible to have the page tree pinned by default so that I won't have to extend it every time (and click the pin)? I know it's a small thing... but it's just a bit annoying.

Hey Svein

Once the page tree is pinned out its state should persist so you should only need to do it once. Do you mean that you would like the default state of the page tree to be pinned out?

@David - functionality with pinning is a bit buggy time to time and default state is not initialized/read/applied always. do not have exact repo steps tho...

This feature is broken on non-CMS and commerce pages, and does not offer "sticky" option on for example Find section.

Hello Nero, thanks for your comment.

The Find UI is delivered sepearately so it does not automatically pick up this functionality. Every other part of the UI should be covered such as the dashboard and commerce UI.

Please can you raise a bug at https://world.episerver.com/support to ensure this is added the Find backlog?
