Catalog Import tool - Other options than CSV

Vote:

Hi

Is there any any alternate catalog import tool available which allows you to import catalog data using lesser files.

At the moment the CSV method takes 5 or 6 diferent files to import all data.

I am aware that we can write our own import tool but was wondering if someone has writte any generic tool to replace the csv import.

Thanks

Kind Regards

Sandeep

We have other import functionalities - CatalogImportExport, which you can import with just one zip file

Hi Quan

Can you just do incremental updates ad new additions using the xml import.

It still wont be easy for content editors to prepare xml files.

Kind Regards

Yes. Catalog xml import can be partial instead of full catalog. Only nodes and entries that present in the xml file will be updated

Most the the PIM systems, like InRiver, have connectors to export the changes to a catalog xml file that can be imported into Episerver Commerce
