SEO issue: duplicate contents and titles

Hi,

Because of the Multi lingual support of EPiServer, we've been having a lot of errors on our Analytics:

www.sydneyanimalhospitals.com.au/en/dir1 and www.sydneyanimalhospitals.com.au/sv/dir1 and www.sydneyanimalhospitals.com.au/dir1 are all the same pages, with same contents and titles.

My questions is, how do we avoid this? Is there a way to disable the en or the sv pages and just use th URL without the language specified (www.sydneyanimalhospitals.com.au/) in the URL?

Redirecting the sv page to the normal page doesn't work as I receive a redirect loop error:

This web page has a redirect loop

The web page at http://www.sydneyanimalhospitals.com.au/sv/?id= has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

You can solve this by using the canonical link, see http://www.metatags.info/rel_canonical

But what I've heard is that Google doesn't care about duplicate content anymore.

Sorry, but how would I actually implement that in episerver?

Here a short post I wrote about it: http://www.frederikvig.com/2009/11/specify-your-preferred-external-url-in-episerver/.
