Details on long TTFB

Hi,

there exist thread TTFB - Time To First Byte is very slow on Amazon/Azure noting some “Always on flag” and some site behaivour.

I would like to know details:

  1. Where this flag has to be set?
  2. Could I expect this behaviour locally?
  3. Question mentions that issue ocurrs only first time. Does flag solution applies if TTFB is alway long?
  4. Does this applies to both CMS and Commerce? How to set them both?

1: That flag is set on the tab for the Azure App Service (website) in the Azure portal.


2: Locally you can experience this at rebuilds for example

3: This exact thread was only first time since you had to wait for the startup that is taken long time. If TTFB always is long then this flag does not matter, then it is something else that is the problem

4: Yes, set them on both App Service/website and if you run DXC Service I hope that this is per default.
